Mandate:
To provide a place for segregation and treatment for Leprosy Patients
EXPANDED LEGAL MANDATE (2005) –
DOH ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER 2005-0013
Revision of the Roles and Responsibilities of the Eight (8) Sanitaria Hospitals
Expanded Legal Mandates:
- Training of health workers regarding leprosy control program
- Integration of MDT services fully with general health care services
- Serve as referral center for leprosy
- Conduct community dialogues about leprosy with NLCP- In and out-patient services for the general population
- Available Medical, Surgical, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Family Medicine & Pediatrics Department
ADDITIONAL MANDATE (2007) – REPUBLIC ACT 9420:
An act converting Two Hundred (200) Beds of the 2000-Bed Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium for Tertiary General Health Care, appropriating funds therefore and for other purposes
